Jadeja Shares a heart-warming post after successful knee surgery

Ravindra Jadeja shares a photo of himself after the successful knee surgery on his Instagram handle.

Jadeja was in the main squad of India in the ongoing Asia Cup. He also played a crucial inning of 35 in the 1st match against arch-rival Pakistan. Due to his match-defining partnership with Hardik Pandya, India was able to pull off the match.

But soon after the match, a huge blow struck as Jadeja faced a massive knee injury and eventually had to undergo surgery. He had a successful knee- surgery on Tuesday. After undergoing the surgery, the star all-rounder of team India shared a heartfelt Instagram post with his photo, thanking the BCCI and a bunch of people.

"The surgery was successful. There are many people to thank for their support and involvement - BCCI, my teammates, support staff, physios, doctors, and fans. I will start my rehab soon and try to get back to cricket soon as I can. Thank you to everyone for your kind wishes," Jadeja penned down on Instagram.

It was head coach Rahul Dravid who informed the media about Jadeja's injury and announced he was ruled out of the tournament.

Dravid's statement:

"Jadeja has injured his knee; he is obviously ruled out of the Asia Cup," Dravid informed ahead of the Super 4 stage match against Pakistan.

"He is under the care of the medical team, he is going to see the doctors, see the experts. The World Cup is still a fair bit away, and we don't want to jump to any conclusions and rule him out or rule him in. We'll see how it goes.

"Injuries are a part of the sport; it is part of our job to try to manage them. A lot will depend on rehab and the severity of the injury. I don't want to rule him out or don't want to make too many comments until we have a much clearer picture and a better idea, especially because the World Cup is six or seven weeks away from now," the head coach of the team India illustrated.

Jadeja is going to be an integral part of the team in the upcoming T20 WC. If he couldn't recover before that, it's going to be a massive blow for the Blues.
